In March 2023, China (FINALLY) relaxed it’s visa restrictions in effort to reopen their borders since the panaramic. If you remember back in March 2020, China imposed a zero-Covid policy with extremely strict travel restrictions on international travelers as a way to reduce the global spread of Lady Rona (bombastic side eye). This then reduced frequency of international passenger flights and included a limited visa availability (including a suspension of tourist visas) and strict Covid testing and quarantine requirements before and after arrival in China.
So it was fantabalastic news to hear that the nation’s airline (BA) will be resuming flights to Shanghai from 23rd April 2023. The inaugural flight back to China looks like its going to be amazing. I love a long direct flight! Let me start practicing my Mandarin again because I feel like my Cantonese is only going to get me so far in exploring China.
I am definitely excited – why? (I gave you a small hint hehe) However, I cannot tell you more just yet but I will do as soon as I can!
Love and Hugs,
