At this point everyone knows I love the Hilton franchise hotels. If you have read my top luxe hotels they have in London you know I had to make an affordable post as well.
So here is my list of – not only 3 but 5 of the best affordable accommodation in London for non-Londoners.
This affordable DoubleTree by Hilton hotel is a 5-7 minute walk from the Tower of London (or 15 minutes for lazy walkers like myself). The Tower of London is the one of the most famous and beautiful bridges in London – often mistaken for London Bridge (mainly due to London Bridge being a simple bridge lol!) The hotel is surrounded by pubs, cocktail bars is close to places that boasts easy exploring!
One of my favourite things about a DoubleTree stay always has a warm chocolate chip cookie when when you get in your room. (And yes they have vegan versions for us non-dairy eaters – you need to tell them in advance)
Location: 7 Pepys St, London EC3N 4AF
Prices: from £60 a night
This is my favourite affordable-luxe DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. When work got stressful, when I needed a mini-staycation when life got overwhelming or during the panaramic I would book a night or two here. Normally it is because it is in East London and if faaar from my house and also because when you stay on the top floor, you can sit and watch planes take off at London City Airport due to the proximity.
For London newbies – it might not be the best unless you are flying into London City. Although our public transport system is quite easy to navigate through, you can travel across London as there is a DLR station that connects you to Jubilee line and you can get from East London to Central very easily.
Location: 2 Festoon Way, London E16 1RH
Prices: from £70 a night
It is near to the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel that is number 2 and is a bit cheaper with the same Hilton flavour as the others and I had to include it. I had to include it for the affordable portion!
Location: Dockside Rd, London E16 2FQ
Prices: from £55 a night
The Hampton is a few meters from Park Royal Underground Station; a direct line from London Heathrow Airport. This also give people who stay at the hotel gives you easy access to the heart of London. The Hotel is also a 20 minute bus ride from Wembley Stadium and within 3 miles of White City’s Westfield shopping center – the best Westfields in London in my opinion!
Also any stay that happened includes free breakfast, free WiFi, and 24-hour fitness center access.
Location: Connell Cres, Western Ave, London W5 3BQ
Prices: from £61 a night
I would not be the boujee me if I did not include at least a second bouj-affordable version based in Shoreditch. Hipster side of east London otherwise known as Shoreditch is an excellent choice for London newbs. The hotel is positioned within 5 minutes of Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane and amazing connections to central London. It is a bit more expensive than the other selection but it is differently worth.
Location: 61 – 67 Great Eastern St, London EC2A 3HU
Prices: from £84 a night
There are so many variations of the Hilton that will never leave you disappointed! (There is a reason why I love the Hilton)
