Although travel restrictions are easing, there are many countries still requiring pre-departure PCR tests.
The biggest issue most people are facing is the price of some of these tests – they are pure extortion! However with more and more people travelling, some test providers have been putting out cheaper tests and there are some who have been historically cheaper than others.
To make things easy for you and narrow down your search I’ve put together a list of some of the cheapest PCR private test providers (NHS PCR tests are not being accepted for travel) that you can use for your travel plans in and out of the country.
You can click on the name of the provider and that will take you straight to their website.
For most countries you need to show a negative PCR test and a fit to fly certificate. As mentioned before no countries are accepting the free NHS PCR tests so you will need to book a private one. You can buy one of these tests at any one of the below providers and they will be able to issue you with a fit to fly certificate provided that your test result is negative.

The good news is that the UK Gov website has up to date information for other countries to help you plan accordingly (airlines do provide this information but I understand that those emails are super long). That being said you can see if you need either a PCR test or a lateral flow – most airports have rapid testing which can be a big help (ExpressTests test centres are in Gatwick and Heathrow for my Londoners).
I hope you’ve found this helpful and wishing all of you safe travels!
