Though solo dates can be a very beneficial thing to do as they can improve your self-confidence and allow you to enjoy your own company. It’s understandable why many are hesitant to do it. As a significant amount of people do think spending time alone is weird.
So, If you really want to try solo dating but are a bit anxious here are 3 ideas that can start you off.
If you’re really nervous about taking yourself out on a date, why not start off by going to the cinema? Not only is it dark in there so no one can see that you’re on you’re own. But also people would be focusing on the film so their attention wouldn’t be on you.
But with that being said, there isn’t anything wrong with enjoying your own company so other people’s opinions really doesn’t matter.
If you’re more confident when it comes to going on solo dates then why not do something fun like going to mini golf? I actually had the chance to do this myself and I had a great time! The golf course was challenging which was terrific as It meant I was engrossed in the game. And the staff members were nice enough to give me the encouragement I needed to win the course.
Now you may not have the exact same experience as me, as every mini golf place is different. But ultimately this activity provides you with a couple of hours of enjoyment. Plus a lovely memory to cherish.
Whether it’s brunch, lunch, dinner or even a cup of coffee, take yourself out to eat! This is a wonderful way to enjoy your own company as you get to eat good food in peace. And bonus points if you find a resturant with a nice interior. Because eating good food in a beautiful restaurant is a match made in heaven!
Also don’t hesitate to bring a book, listen to music or a podcast. Or even watch a film on your phone, tablet or laptop. That extra entertainment can make this solo date more enjoyable.
Overall solo dates are another way to enjoy the life you’ve been given. So though it can be nerve-wracking especially if you have never done it before. Don’t let your nerves get the better of you; this is a beautiful and beneficial experience.
