So your girl went to DLT Malta 2022. Being part of the first people to experience this legendary new festival was an honour. In the years to come I will never allow anyone to forget I was part of the first DLT Malta.
Personally, I love going to DLT events in London. My friends and I always pull up when we can and make sure we have our tickets when they drop. So when they announced that they were doing an event in Malta – I had to be there! This came after missing out of DLT Ibiza due to work and DLT in Ghana 2021 – because I had covid19.
When I tell you DLT Malta was a VIBE; no lies are being told. Imagine a couple of thousand good looking black people, mix in great weather, vibes, food and alcohol?! Recipe for a great time! It was seriously black love island – every one was recoupling every night! The way I wish I was joking!
There were no bad vibes, no beef, just straight everyone having a good time. Initially I was meant to be travelling with a group of people, got my tickets, planned my travel and etc. Everyone in the group dropped out but I decided I am still going – no one was going to stop me.
The week before my friend told me just give up my ticket and don’t go but I was determined to go. Even if it meant I was going to be on my own. Literally was determined to enjoy. Everything was paid for already – I am not going to block my blessing!
So I got on my Air Malta flight (flew with them for the first time), sat next to some sexy men – caught a vibe. Nearly everyone on my flight was going to DLT which made me think this event is going to be phenomenal! I had decided to go a couple of days early to get settled in.
Also, at baggage claim met two amazing girls who in the end turned out to be the girls I would proceed to spending the whole entire time with even though my good friend was there. We became good friends even after this event looking back issa madness!
Day 0 in Malta, I went got my broken nail fixed, got my wristband, met up with Jessica and Ruth and had a fab first night! Bare in mind this was before DLT officially kicked off – we were on viiiiiiiiibes! I have so much to say about this trip and to avoid these blog posts being extra long, I am going to cut it into 4 parts.
Stay tuned next week for part 2!
Love and Hugs,
